The plungers are typically used for locking, positioning and locating pre-defined holes in projects. The compact component is made up of a ball or pin and an internal spring, all contained in a housing that resembles a grub screw. The housings must be strong and are usually made from metals including steel, stainless steel or aluminium. Some spring plungers are also made of polyamide.
