What is a Low Smoke Zero Halogen Lead?

The lead of this cable assembly is classified as LSZH which stands for Low Smoke Zero Halogen. This lead conforms to the harmonised cable code H05Z1Z1-F with both insulation and sheath made from a Polyolefin-based thermoplastic compound. This compound produces limited smoke and no halogen when exposed to high sources of heat. Low smoke zero halogen cable reduces the amount of toxic and corrosive gas emitted during combustion

What is This Cable Assembly Used With?

These IEC C13 to C14 extension leads are for use with IEC Class I appliances and are used in computer equipment for interconnecting and powering PCs and peripherals such as monitors and printers. They can also be used for extending an existing power connection. The C13 connector plugs directly into a device with a C14 inlet while the male C14 connector plugs into another power cord. These IEC extension power cords are commonly used in data centres for providing connections between PDU (Power Distribution Unit) and UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) devices and equipment with a C14 input.
